You know you're a last-year grad student when...
- You consider your thesis proposal one of your most prized possessions. You have it saved on your school computer, your laptop, on google docs, on a jump drive, and in your email... just in case.
- You get excited when you see an email from your advisor with feedback on your writing.
- You're able to read a paper as fluently as if the copious in-text citations weren't even there...
- ... but often those citations are your favorite part of the paper.
- You're pro at using Endnote... at least according to most standards. ;)
- You've learned to organize your time so that you only have to come to campus about half the days of the week.
- You chuckle when a professor says something important and the first year grad students don't write it down.
- You still get giddy when you remember YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THE MASTER'S EXAM THIS SUMMER!
- You're slightly (okay, a lot) embarrassed by some of your early writing, and quite impressed with how far you've come.
- You're finally okay with calling your professors by their first name.
