Update on life:

Here is a brief, it's-after-midnight-so-I-should-go-to-bed update on my life.

I got my computer back after a week and a half in the shop. It took forever but the guy fixed everything, and HE ONLY CHARGED ME $42. (Go to PC Provo if you have computer problems. Seriously.)

Bryan's doing really well. He's been gone for a little over 18 months now.

I'm a week into Spring Term. It's majorly insane and I don't know how I'm going to get any sleep for the next 7 weeks...but you do what you have to do I suppose.

Robert A Boyd was at the BYU Bookstore tonight, and they were selling his unframed canvases for buy one, get two free. So Brynn and Rebecca (two of my good friends) and I, each picked out one. We split the cost of one, three ways. Awesome. So I still need to get it mounted and framed at some point, but I paid $70 for a canvas that, unframed, normally would have cost $210. Love it. :)

Here's a little picture of it. Mine's a 16 X 20 Canvas.

And here's a little secret... you can't tell anybody. A long time ago I was at Deseret Book and I looked up on the wall and saw this next picture... and I instantly gasped and thought "That's Bryan's." And I couldn't pull myself away no matter how hard I tried. So way a long time ago (like in January I think it was,) I bought this for Bryan. It's big... I think it's like 16 X 30 or something like that... but it's so him. I haven't told him about it at all... I'm saving it for his present for his 21st birthday/welcome home present. :) I'm so excited to see his face... here's a picture of it.. (but remember, you can't tell... it's a secret. *wink*)

Isn't it just beautiful? :) I'm so excited to give it to him.

For those of you who don't know, Bryan's hero is Moroni... Well, one of his heroes. But one reason is because Bryan's favorite scripture is Mormon 9:21. At this point, Moroni's father Mormon has been killed, and so has the entire Nephite race. Moroni is all alone, wandering about, left to record the "sad tale of the destruction of [his] people." In Mormon 8:2 he says, "And my father also was killed by them, and I remain alone to write the sad tale of the destruction of my people. But behold, they are gone, and I fulfil the commandment of my father. and whether they will slay me, I know not."

At this point, Moroni is alone. But we know that Christ ministered to him and comforted him, and showed us to him. He SAW us... (Mormon 8:35) "Behold, I speak unto you as if ye were present, and yet ye are not. But behold, Jesus Christ hath shown you unto me, and I know your doing." So for the rest of the Book of Mormon, he's speaking to us.

Bryan's favorite scripture is Mormon 9:21. (9-21 is also his birthday, so that's fun...) but anyway, it's Moroni talking, and he says "Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted unto him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth."

So Moroni is Bryan's hero... and it's Moroni that's the angel on top of nearly all the temples for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And, angel Moroni is playing a trumpet, facing east... It's symbolic of how Christ will come in the East when He comes again, and Moroni is heralding his coming. I think my dear trumpet playing Bryan would love to help Moroni out. :)

And on top of that all, the Provo temple is my temple...and it's his temple...

So as you can see, this picture is Bryan...

:) I love it.

Let's see... anything else? Oh yes... I had two friends get married today, but both receptions are out of state... I have another good friend getting married tomorrow, and I will be able to go to her reception. So fun. :)

Um... anything else? Oh yes. I just finished my second box of envelopes (that I use to send letters to Bryan.) There were probably 40 in a box I think. Anyway, I need to buy more tomorrow. :)

Well, have a lovely night. I'm off to brush my teeth and wash my face, and crash in bed. G'night all!
