Bleh....

Ever have those mornings where you wake up like an hour before you wanted to,

only to discover you're *sick*?

And then you try to sleep in because you

a) hope it'll miraculously make you get better in the next hour and a half

or b) know it really won't, but you don't want to wake up and face the world whilst being sick.

So you try to stay in bed and pretend it's Saturday and you can sleep in all you want,

and pretend you feel oh-so-restful while tossing and turning.

But then you have a headache from being sick, so you can't sleep.

So you toss and turn more.

Then there's the catch-22 of, do I get up and feel gross, or stay in bed and feel gross?

Hm. What options.

But then you have to get up anyway because you have to be at work, and then school.

And then you have this lovely optimistic thought that you'll get feeling better throughout the day.

But really the day just drains you.

And you go to bed feeling like you've been hit by a train.

Ever had one of those days?

Yup; that was my day today.

Oh so fun.

But tomorrow's Friday.

That's my favorite part of the week. :)

Fridays.

Because you know you'll soon get a teeny break...

if even only for Friday night.

You know you're sick when you're looking forward to Friday, not because of the party your friends are having (because you'll probably skip that,) but because when you skip the party, you can come home and sleep through a few movies, eat a snack, and then go to bed.

I love Fridays.

The only problem with being sick in the non-wintertime is that cuddling up in sweats and a blanket to watch movies with hot soup or hot chocolate to make you feel better,

loses much of its appeal.

But oh well.

Yay for weekends.

Please hurry up weekend....

I need a break!

And another stinkin' box of tissues.

Or a roll of toilet paper. That's my "box of tissues."

My nose is running like its training for the Boston Marathon.

Blech.

No fun.

G'night all.
