Movie Reviews and Our Vacation!

We finally have a weekend off from any and all responsibilities that tie us to Provo, so we are taking a vacation! Woot Woot! We're coming up to grandma and grandpa's in Idaho like I have nearly every Memorial Day weekend of my life. Good times. Yay for a vacation.

Now on to my movie reviews of the new(er) movies I've seen lately.

Contagion: Very cool. It's supposed to be scary, but between Bryan analyzing the molecular biology behind it (quite accurate), and me analyzing the statistics (fascinating), we weren't especially terrified. But, it was awesome. It was a loaded cast, and I am a huge fan of Matt Damon and Jude Law, so it was awesome.

Hugo: Probably one of the coolest kid-appropriate movies I've seen recently. The cinematography was AMAZING. Very, very cool. Totally recommend it for anyone over the age of like 3. Super cool. (I was actually pleasantly surprised.)

Kung Fu Panda 2: I am, most definitely, a Jack Black fan (in his appropriate movies), and therefore liked this movie before it started. It lived up to all my expectations. Hilarious. I'd own it. For sure. Laughed hard. :) The end.

And now we're going out to Liana's house to celebrate Andrea's high school graduation. Enchiladas. :) Yum.

And, we may or may not be introducing mi madre to Lord of the Rings via a marathon on blu ray this weekend. Bryan's excited. :) The end.

  1. I have tried watching Hugo no less than four times and I fall fast asleep every single time. I am sure it's good, but it puts me right to sleep!
